Ever since Apple released iOS 5 to users there have been a lot of complaints,
particularly from iPhone 4S users, regarding the disappointing battery life on
their iOS devices. It has been more than a couple of weeks now but Apple refused
to comment on the situation, until now.
In a statement given to
AllThingsD, Apple acknowledged the issue and
promised to release a software update in a few weeks to solve the issue.

At about the same time that Apple acknowledged the
issue, they also seeded iOS 5.0.1 beta to developers. Among many things, this
update the battery life issue in iOS 5. Other changes include addition of
multitasking gestures in the first generation iPad, resolved bugs with documents
in the Cloud, improved voice recognition for Australian users using dictation
and other security improvements.
You can get the update from Apple's developer site if you're a developer or
wait for a while till it becomes available to you.
