According to Pocket Lint, HTC is now working in conjunction with Dropbox to offer a total of 5GB storage with the cloud storage service. 2GB is free anyway, but if you are a HTC customer, you get an additional 3GB for free. So what's the catch? Well, you'll need to connect to Dropbox with your new phone and right now, that new phone will have to be a HTC Rhyme.
Yes, the phone that was announced just three days ago. So chances are, you don't have one. The problem is that the service only works in conjunction with Sense 3.5, which is only currently offered with the Rhyme, but that's not likely to be the case for long, with a number of new launches planned by HTC in the coming weeks. Once you do get it, you will be able to save files and photos on your phone and have them automatically synced to a computer at home or other devices running the Dropbox software.
Great news if you plan on upgrading soon, but potentially great news for existing users too. Sense 3.5 is likely to appear on some recent launches as an upgrade. When it does, you'll have a nice cloud-based bonus to make it all the sweeter.
